Three people have been rescued this lunchtime after their vehicle got stuck in floodwater.
The three drove into a ford at Grosmont, on the North Yorkshire Moors, which has risen overnight because of heavy rain.
Three fire engines and a support vehicle were sent to the scene.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “They have got them out of the vehicle and they are just making it safe.
“It was heavy rain through the night and the ford is quite high and they have driven into it.
“The car got stuck in the swift moving water.”
