what a marvellous time Easter is. Spring is here, bringing new life and with it a sense of adventure.

Whether you are looking forward to the long Bank Holiday or have more time booked off over the Easter holidays, there are plenty of beautiful sights to explore and attractions to delve into in Yorkshire.

The rugged landscapes of the three National Parks can get the blood pumping. Or perhaps a little rest and relaxation is in order – be it the sweeping vistas of the coast or a meander down the many bustling high streets and historic cobbled streets, with their blend of independent boutiques and high street names, and along the way investigate the scrumptious food offerings at the many cafés, tea shops and public houses.

Families can get real value for money by visiting the fantastic attractions around Yorkshire. Go off in search of the county’s heritage and you will be rewarded with stunning gardens, atmospheric ruins and majestic views.

York is just one city to visit over the Easter period. On Page 6 find out how it is celebrating its 800th anniversary. Rather fittingly, as thoughts turn to Easter eggs, the end of March sees the opening of the chocolate museum along with the York Chocolate Festival taking place between April 6-9.
