Tornado steams in

The first new main line steam locomotive to be built in Britain for almost 50 years, Tornado, will be in York tomorrow as it makes a round trip from London King's Cross.

The visit comes as part of The Cathedrals Express run, promoted by Steam Dreams, a Surrey-based railway tours company.

The last of the renowned Peppercorn class A1 steam locomotives was scrapped in 1966, but the 3m Peppercorn class A1 pacific steam locomotive was built over almost 20 years by The A1 Steam Locomotive Trust in Darlington.
