Tractor 'thank-you' for lifesavers

FOR years Andy Trezise raised money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance – never thinking that one day it would save his life.

But just days after taking part in his latest fundraising effort, he found himself urgently needing its help after suffering life-threatening injuries when he was run over by a digger on a building site.

As a thank-you for being airlifted to hospital in Leeds, Mr Trezise and a friend Rob Sowden bought a popular collectors' piece, a 1959 Massey Ferguson tractor, with Rob carrying out the restoration. Over 2,000 tickets were sold in a raffle, raising 4,500. The tractor was presented yesterday to winner Deborah Tomkinson, seen above with son Ryan, six. They live near Mr Trezise's home in Pocklington.
