A GANG dressed as golfers who subjected a family to a “torrent of abuse” on a train journey are being hunted by British Transport Police.
Police appealed for help in tracking down the gang yesterday after 10 suspects were singled out from CCTV footage.
The female victims, three generations of the same family, were travelling back to Wales from London on Saturday May 18.
The incident happened on a First Great Western train between Cardiff and Bridgend between 8.50pm and 9.14pm.
Sgt Nick Brown, of British Transport Police, said: “Three women were travelling home from a weekend away in London when a group of men, all aged in their early 20s, boarded the service at Cardiff Central.”
He said the men appeared to be drunk, became abusive and shouted at passengers.
