Train tickets offer for fundraisers taking part in Peaks walk
Walkers have a choice of tackling one of three routes – a 24-mile walk, a 12-miler or a five-miler – all taking in some of the Peak District’s most picturesque spots, such as Kinder Scout, Jacob’s Ladder, Edale and Ladybower reservoir.
So far, more than 700 people have signed up to take part in the event on Sunday, April 29, which is the newest addition to the appeal’s fund-raising calendar.

Hide AdNow, train company Northern Rail, which supported last year’s inaugural Dales Walk for All, has agreed to provide 100 tickets for walkers travelling from Sheffield to Hope, in the Hope Valley, for the Peaks Walk for All.
When registering for the event online, walkers will be given the chance to buy one of the special train tickets for £10, and proceeds will go direct to the Jane Tomlinson Appeal.
Those who have already signed up will be emailed with details of the train tickets.
A spokesman for the Jane Tomlinson Appeal said: “We’re encouraging as many people as possible to take the train.
“Last year, with the Dales Walk for All, lots of people chose to travel by train and there was a fantastic atmosphere. It’s a great way to start the day.”
