A spokesman for Network Rail said: “There are severe delays out of King’s Cross because of a reported fatality at Alexandra Palace at about 5pm.

“Alexandra Palace is three miles north of King’s Cross so all the trains leaving must pass through it.”

A British Transport Police spokesperson said officers were called to the line near to Alexandra Palace railway station.
