Couple, 91 and 88, seriously injured after driving into parked car

A 91-year-old man and an 88-year-old woman were seriously injured after their Nissan Micra hit a parked car and then a lamppost in Barnsley.The accident happened around 3.15pm yesterday. Their silver Micra hit a red Audi A5, which was parked in Keresforth Hall Road. The Nissan, which was being driven by the 91-year-old, then hit a lampost.The pair were both taken to hospital.Police are appealing for witnesses.
