Leeds traffic chaos after man survives fall on to motorway

A MAN has survived after falling from a bridge on to the M621 in Leeds.

The incident near junction 3 caused traffic chaos as the motorway was closed in both directions this afternoon.

The road closures are expected to be in place until at least 3.30pm.

A West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “Police attended reports of a man falling from a bridge at junction 3 of the M621.

“Ambulances attended the scene and road closures are in place, which are likely to cause traffic disruption.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.”

The injured man was take to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment.
