Motorbike rider, 65, killed in Rotherham crash

A PENSIONER suffered fatal injuries when the motorbike he was riding was involved in collision with a car in Rotherham.

The 65-year-old man was riding a yellow Honda motorbike which was involved in collision with a silver Vaxhall Zafira on Worrygoose Lane near the junction with Greystones Road at Whiston, Rotherham, just before 1pm on Saturday.

He was taken to Northern General Hospital at Sheffield with life threatening injuries. He died a short time later.

Police are currently investigating the collision and specialist officers are providing support to his family

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the collision, or saw either of the vehicles before to collision, to contact them on 101 quoting incident number 553 of the 18th February 2017.
