Sheffield woman, 88, dies in reservoir plunge

AN elderly walker from Sheffield has died after falling from a path into a reservoir.

South Yorkshire Police said the 88-year-old woman is believed to have been out walking with a friend when she fell into Agden Reservoir, in the Peak District National Park, close to the village of Bradfield.

The other woman, thought to be in her 60s, went into the water to try to rescue the person who fell and managed to pull her from the water.
