Teen dies three days after Sheffield crash

A 19-YEAR-OLD man has died in hospital three days after suffering life-threatening injuries when the car he was travelling in crashed into a post in Sheffield.

Cian Pace, from Shirecliffe, Sheffield, was a passenger in a silver Vauxhall Corsa which crashed on the A61 Netherthorpe Road, near to Brook Hill roundabout.

He was rushed to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham with life-threatening injuries on November 10 but was pronounced dead at the same hospital three days later.

The driver of the Corsa, a 19-year-old man from Sheffield, was taken to Northern General Hospital with serious injuries and remains in hospital.

A 17-year-old girl, also a passenger in the Corsa, was taken to Northern General Hospital with serious injuries and was later discharged.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward. Anyone with information should contact South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 19 of 10 November.
