Teenage biker dies in Leeds crash

Seventeen-year-old Jake Uttley was on a black Suzuki Bandit motorbike along Wood Lane, Rothwell, towards the A61 Wakefield Road when he was involved in a collision with a silver Renault Scenic near to the junction with Haigh Avenue.

Jake, of Middleton, was taken to Pinderfields Hospital, before being transferred to Leeds General Infirmary where he died on Monday, police said.

The 25-year old male driver of the Renault has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently on police bail pending further enquiries
