Three people trapped after fuel tanker and mobility van crash

FIRE crews freed three people from a mobility van which ended up in a field after a crash in Bradford.

The crash happened on Old Lane at Hawksworth, Bradford, just before 1pm today (Sat Feb 9).

Michael Yewdall, crew commander of Rawdon Fire Station, said a small fuel tanker was involved in collision with a mobility van on Old Lane at its junction with Mill Lane, Goose Lane and Hillings Lane.

The mobility van ended up on its side in a field.

Crew commander Yewdall said members of the public helped two people get out of the van before firefighters cut three people free from the van wreckage.

West Yorkshire Fire Service said three casualties were left in the care of paramedics.
