Vehicle fire causes 30 minute delays on A1M near Selby
Delays of up to 30 minutes are being reported on the A1M near Selby after a vehicle fire this morning.
One lane of the northbound carriageway and the hardshoulder have been closed between junctions 42 and 43 while emergency services put out the van fire.
Highways England said recovery work was under way and would be completed around 9.45am.
It said traffic was queuing back to junction 41, with delays of around 30 minutes being experienced.
Conditions are expected to return to normal between 10.15am and 10.30am.
