Video: Elderly man rescued from car after crashing into Leeds house

AN elderly man had be cut out of his car after crashing into a house in Leeds.

A family is believed to have been in the house at the time but were uninjured.

Fire crews from Hunslet attended the crash at Sandlewood Close in Holbeck at around 2.45pm today (Sept 13) and helped free the man from the car, which landed on its side.

It is understood that the man is in a stable condition and was taken to hospital.

A spokesman from Hunslet fire station told the YEP that the crash involved an elderly man who was driving a Citroen people carrier, which collided with a parked car before crashing into the property.

West Yorkshire Police attended the scene along with building inspectors, as the crash caused structural damage to the property.
