Triplets help mark baby project birthday

Children taking part in Born in Bradford will be sent a birthday card featuring the health research project's newest set of triplets.

Danyaal Shah, Siraj Ahmed Shah and Abdul Mumin Shah were born to proud parents, Tilla and Azam who already have two daughters, at Bradford Royal Infirmary.

Photos were captured by BiB artist-in-residence, Ian Beesley, and poet Ian McMillan has penned a poem for the card. Thousands of toddlers involved in the groundbreaking project will receive the card when they reach their third birthday.

BiB programme manager Dr Pauline Raynor said: "The oldest children in the project will be turning three this year. Sending a birthday card is just one of the ways in which we thank those families who have volunteered to join our project."

BiB, which is spearheaded by Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust; NHS Bradford and Airedale and the University of Bradford, has launched many research studies intended to tell doctors more about every aspect of the community's health.
