Tumour survivor to carry torch
A SPORTS-mad schoolboy has been revealed as one of the first to be selected to carry the London 2012 Olympic Torch.
George Stocker, 12, from Little Ribston, near Wetherby, has managed to raise more than £50,000 for charity after undergoing treatment for a brain tumour in 2008. Eight thousand people are set to carry the Olympic Torch next summer.
“I feel so happy to be selected to carry the torch,” added George.
