A COUNCIL has defended its decision not to reinstate men-only sessions at Harrogate’s Turkish Baths which were shelved after reports of inappropriate behaviour.

A Harrogate Borough Council report revealed early indications have suggested the new mixed sessions are seeing increasing attendances. The average attendance of the men-only sessions last year was 17, while the average attendance for the mixed sessions during last month rose to 46.
