Turn chateaux into hotels, says report
France should turn some of its historic chateaux into luxury hotels to raise more state funds, an official report suggested.
The survey, commissioned by president Nicolas Sarkozy offers other unorthodox suggestions for the cash-strapped country.
Another idea is promoting movie shoots at historic sites. The report also says the government should encourage people to buy state property.
