TV spotlight in hunt for Claudia

The father of Claudia Lawrence said yesterday he hoped a documentary about her disappearance would trigger "somebody's memory or somebody's heart".

Peter Lawrence gave details of the programme to be broadcast this summer as he visited Glasgow to appeal for information fifteen months after she disappeared from York. Mr Lawrence, 63, speaking at Central Station, revealed details of a half-hour documentary to be screened on Channel 4 in July or August.

He said: "It's very moving. There's interviews not only with me but with Claudia's sister Ali and close friends and there are scenes of the area where Claudia worked. Hopefully with its very wide audience it will trigger somebody's memory or somebody's heart."

Anyone with information should call North Yorkshire Police on 0845 6060 247.
