Two arrested incable crackdown

A purge by North Yorkshire Police on thieves risking their lives by cutting through high-voltage electricity lines to steal copper cable has resulted in two arrests in Selby.

A 26-year-old man from Castleford and a 15-year-old boy from Knottingley, were chased and detained by officers on Tuesday after being spotted near the railway bridge between Fairburn and Airedale.
