Two arrested over attack on RL star Gleeson

The 26-year-old Hull KR star may lose an eye after he was punched in the face a number of times following a row with three men in Wigan in the early hours of Sunday.

He suffered serious injuries to his eye and eye socket and was taken to hospital where he remains.

Gleeson became involved in a fight with one of the men outside a bar and the others joined in before they left the Wigan-born player in the road and ran away.

Following the release of CCTV images, Greater Manchester Police said two men aged 21 and 24 had been arrested on suspicion of assault. They have both been bailed until April 28 pending further inquiries.
