Two arrested over Rotherham murder

DETECTIVEs have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in Rotherham.

Police were called to an incident in Greenfield Road on Thursday night and made two arrests.

Paramedics also attended the address and treated a 44-year-old man but he died at the scene.

Greenfield Road remained closed for much of yesterday as police continued their inquiries into what happened.

A police spokesman said: “Two local people, a 39-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are assisting police with enquiries.”
