Two Britons feared to be among dozens of suicide blast victims

Two Britons were among at least 35 people killed by a suicide bomber at Moscow's busiest airport, investigators said last night.

The bomber, who injured almost 170 others in the blast, blew himself up in the international arrivals hall at Domodedovo airport after shouting "I'll kill you all".

A Foreign Office spokesman said he was aware of the reports but could not confirm the deaths.

He said: "We have a consular team on the ground and we are urgently investigating."

Two flights from London Heathrow had arrived at the airport shortly before the explosion and British witnesses spoke of their narrow escape.

Mark Green said: "As we were picking up the bags to put them into the back of the car, there was an almighty explosion. It

reverberated through our bodies.

"There was a pause of 30 seconds before people started running out of the terminal, some of whom were injured, some of whom were covered in blood or some kind of black product."

Business traveller Jeremy Spencer was in the immigration

hall when the explosion went off.

He said there was a "loud bang and then the ceiling and the floor shook where we were standing. Dust started to appear from the ceiling".

Footage posted on the YouTube website showed the aftermath of the incident, with bodies, luggage and debris strewn on

the floor of the smoke-filled terminal.

Prime Minister David Cameron called Russian president Dmitry Medvedev to offer Britain's "complete support" in dealing with the "appalling attack", Downing Street said.

"The Prime Minister made clear that the people of Britain stood with the people of Russia in the face of these events and said that 'we should never allow the terrorists to win'."
