TWO men have been charged in connection with disorder following rival protests in Bradford city centre on Saturday.

A Bradford man, 37, has been charged with possessing an offensive weapon and a man from Walsall, 23, has been charged with a public order offence.

Three men, from Wolverhampton, Halifax and Birmingham were issued with 80 fixed penalty fines for disorderly behaviour.

A man, 18, from Bradford was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder – missile throwing – and is on bail pending further investigations.

A man, 24, from Bradford was arrested for two alleged assaults and for allegedly hurling a missile at a coach at junction 24 of the M62. He has been bailed.

Two men, aged 22 and 20, and two youths, 16 and 15, all from Bradford, were arrested on suspicion of wounding and later bailed.
