Two drivers in hospital after collision in Hull

Two motorists were rushed to hospital after a two-car smash in Hull yesterday.

The collision happened at around 2pm on the A165 between Beeford and Brandesburton and involved a red Fiat Doblo and white Ford Transit van.

Both drivers were taken to Hull Royal Infirmary after sustaining serious injuries in the crash.

The driver of the Fiat, a 28-year-old Beeford man, suffered life-threatening injuries but remains in a stable condition in hospital.

Meanwhile, the driver of the van, a 63 year-old Nottingham man, sustained serious injuries which are not thought to be considered life-threatening.

He also remains in a stable condition in hospital.

The road was closed until 8.45pm last night while a collision investigation took place and debris was cleared from the carriageway.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call police on 101, quoting log 285 of 13/02/2017.
