Two killed as freak waves hit cruise ship
Two cruise passengers died when their liner was hit by freak waves off the Mediterranean coast of France yesterday.
The Cypriot-owned Louis Majesty, carrying nearly 2,000 people, was hit by 26-foot waves which smashed windshields. The victims were identified only as a German and an Italian man. Another six people suffered minor injuries.
The ship, which was sailing to Genoa, is returning to Barcelona.
