A man and a woman have been arrested today in connection with what police are calling "targeted" shootings in Bradford.

Police swooped this morning (Wednesday) in the Holmewood area of the city and arrested a 16-year-old male and a 24-year-old woman on suspicion of attempt murder and a spokesperson said they are still in custody at this time.

A 17-year-old male and a 20-year-old male who were arrested yesterday have been released under investigation while a total of nine other people have been arrested for assisting an offender.

The arrests have been made in relation to two incidents which occurred at an address in Gillingham Green and Dulverton Grove in the early hours of Monday, which saw two men suffer leg injuries.

The man injured in the discharge at Dulverton Grove remains in hospital following treatment. The other man has since been discharged.

Detectives for West Yorkshire Police's Homicide and Major Enquiries Team believe the incidents are linked and both are being treated as targeted attacks.

Enquiries are continuing and anyone who may have information about either incident is asked to contact the team on 101, or use the live chat facility on the West Yorkshire Police website.
