UK Foo Fighters to play Monteys in Harrogate

It has been a phenomenal 12 months for Harrogate frontman Jay Apperley and the UK Foo Fighters, now Britain's most successful Foo Fighters' tribute band.

From humble roots in pub gigs around Harrogate ten years ago, they now tour the country playing soldout headline gigs at major venues.

The band have even made international headlines twice this year.

The first time was when Jay was asked by the real Dave Grohl to join him on stage at a real Foos gig at Brighton to sing lead vocals on White Limo from the Sonic Highways album while Dave Grohl played guitar. (You can watch what happened on a video link below).

Then, when Grohl broke his leg and had to cancel the Foos' headlining slot at Glastonbury and a string of other dates, the UK Foos stepped into the breach and offered to play replacement shows.

The Monteys date, which takes place on Friday, November 20, is a free gig and takes place a week after Jay and the band take their current Sonic Motorways tour to 02 Academy in Liverpool and a two weeks before they play 02 Academy in Sheffield.
