UK must support Somali woman
A Somali woman with children in UK schools is entitled to state benefits, EU judges have ruled in Luxembourg.
They said parents caring for children of migrant workers are covered under EU rules even if the worker no longer lives or works in the UK. Nimco Hassan Ibrahim, a Somali national, is separated from her husband, who returned to Denmark after being refused incapacity benefits in 2004, and she appealed after being refused housing assistance.
