Body found on Scottish coast in search for missing Yorkshire school pupil
Jasmine Macquaker, from Edinburgh, had been missing since last night.
A member of the public raised the alarm with police shortly after 7am today after a body was found in North Queensferry, near the Forth Rail Bridge.

Hide AdIt has not yet been identified but Jasmine Macquaker’s family have been informed, Police Scotland said.
The 14-year-old is a pupil at Queen Margaret’s School, in Escrick Park, York.
She had joined the independent girls’ boarding school around 18 months ago after being awarded a scholarship to study there.
Police Scotland had earlier put out an urgent appeal asking the public to help find Jasmine after she went missing.

Hide AdThe teenager had last been seen at Dalmeny railway station by South Queensferry at around 8.30pm yesterday.
It is believed she had travelled there from Edinburgh’s Waverley station.
Police had said it was out of character for the 14-year-old to go off on her own without telling anyone.
Yesterday morning they confirmed that a body had been found.

Hide AdA statement from Police Scotland added: “A formal identification is yet to be carried out; however, Jasmine’s family have been informed and have requested that their privacy be respected at this very difficult time.”
The death was being treated as unexplained police said today.
Queen Margaret’s School have confirmed that Jasmine is a pupil there, having joined in 2014.
Before this she had been educated at Cargilfield, a private co-educational prep school in Edinburgh.
