Botham beefs up for big walk

Former cricketer Sir Ian Botham was joined by Celtic manager Neil Lennon as he completed the first leg of a charity walk in support of blood cancer research.

Sir Ian is walking around 160 miles in and around cities across Britain over the next 10 days. He will be in Wakefield tomorrow and Sheffield next week. Sir Ian’s “Great British Walk” will raise money for blood cancer charity Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research. Along the route he will be joined by young patients who are either being treated for the disease or are in remission.
