The swimmers crossed the four-mile stretch of water to reach the Isle of Wight to raise money for a number of different charities.
Heavy winds threatened to cancel the swim but in the end it was only delayed by an hour.

Hide AdAli Coldwell, of Sheffield, who swam to raise money for Water Aid, said: “It was horrendous, right up to the minute we went in I thought it was going to be cancelled.
“The waves were so high that you could see the white froth forming on them. It was crazy, I feel elated but I don’t think it’s sunk in yet that we got across.”
The fastest swimmer of the group, each of whom had a kayaker beside them, got across in 1 hour 50 minutes while the last came in after three-and-a-half hours.
