Drugs found at party death house

Detectives investigating the death of a schoolgirl following a party at a university lecturer’s house have found a selection of drugs in an unlocked cupboard and underneath a bed.

Isobel Reilly, 15, is believed to have died after going into cardiac arrest at 60-year-old Brian Dodgeon’s west London home. A coroner is still waiting for final post-mortem examination results.

An inquest was opened and adjourned as it emerged Mr Dodgeon is in a serious condition in hospital.

The University of London research fellow, who is on bail on suspicion of child abandonment and possessing drugs, is believed to have broken both legs after jumping from a flyover on the North Circular Road in Walthamstow, east London, on Tuesday.

Mr Dodgeon’s 14-year-old daughter and two 14-year-old boys were also detained in hospital after taking illegal substances.

Detectives are investigating the possibility that the group discovered the drugs at the property in Barlby Road, north Kensington.

An officer at Westminster Coroner’s Court said it could be more than a month before the exact cause of Isobel’s death is known.
