By ’eck... the ideal gift for driver with roots firmly in Yorkshire
The plates, B7 ECK and B7 GUM, were bought when they were first released in 1984 as part of a small private collection and are now being offered by Yorkshire-born owner Renaud Spencer at £25,000 each, because he has re-located to France where they cannot legally be used.
“The plates are an ideal present for a true Yorkshireman. They are very northern expressions and could be enjoyed by any motorist,” he said

“They are the ultimate personal number plates.”
Half-French Renaud, who lives with partner Kirsty Beveridge, 54, in Saint Valery-sur-Somme, northern France, added: “Sadly, living over here means giving up the use of UK number plates, as you are legally required to either re-register a UK car or sell and buy a French one.
“I am very attached to them now and wish I didn’t have to sell them but to use them here would be a very expensive business. There’s no point in them sitting in the house collecting dust.
“I’m happy to sell them separately but they really do make a brilliant pair and I’m interested in any offers.”
The collector is also selling the couple’s ‘M7 OWN’ and ‘KIISTY’ personal number plates.
