England players ‘urinated’ on wicket

England’s victorious cricket team celebrated their win over Australia in the Ashes by demonstrating problems with their delivery – apparently urinating all over the wicket.

As the sun went down on their triumph the players celebrated on the Kia Oval pitch with behaviour some might say was more grubby than grubber.

Star players such as Kevin Pietersen, Stuart Broad and Jimmy Anderson reportedly queued up to relieve themselves on the strip while team-mates cheered wildly.

They were all caught out by Australian media who reportedly saw the players’ unusual innings after the 23,500 crowd had gone.

A picture tweeted by England’s wicketkeeper Matt Prior showed the squad sitting on the pitch after dark surrounded by champagne and beer as they savoured their victory over the old enemy, who lost 3-0 after a five-match series this summer.

The England and Wales Cricket Board was unavailable for comment yesterday.
