A high-flying Dragon drops in

Dragons Den star Duncan Bannatyne was among the brave skydivers raising money for charity at a parachute jump in Salisbury yesterday.

Bannatyne organised the event at Airfield Camp to raise money for the Pilgrim Bandits charity, which was set up to support British amputee servicemen.

Bannatyne has been working with the charity since being contacted by one of its patrons, Lance Bombardier Ben Parkinson, the injured war hero from south Yorkshire who lost both legs in a roadside blast in Afghanistan back in 2006.

Bannatyne had said beforehand: “Any trepidation I might have had at the prospect of jumping out of a plane disappeared as soon as I thought of what Ben and his colleagues have done for this country.”
