The event on September 14 also features singers Ellie Goulding and Ryan Adams and includes the medal presentation ceremony for the athletes.

The games are a Paralympic-style sporting championship for injured servicemen and women to be staged at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in east London, built for the 2012 Olympics.

Harry launched the contest to support rehabilitation and raise awareness of those injured serving their countries, with more than 400 wounded services personnel from 14 nations due to take part.

The Vamps and Military Wives Choirs are among the other acts to feature on the bill, with highlights to be screened by the BBC.

The Prince said: “I am hugely grateful to all the artists and organisers for coming together in September to put on what will be a truly awesome concert. It will be a celebration of everything the competitors will have achieved over the four days of the Invictus Games.”
