Kylie ‘not assured’ to do second series as judge on The Voice

The Australian singer, who is one of the coaches on the BBC singing show alongside Will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson, admitted her forthcoming tour would take priority over any TV work.

She replaced Jessie J on the panel in the third series, alongside Wilson, who had taken over from The Script’s Danny O’Donoghue.

“I’m already doing it again in Australia, but UK or Australia, I don’t know if I could (do another season) because I’m going to be touring. We’ll see,” she said.

Minogue, who admitted signing up to The Voice was a “huge decision”, cannot wait for the live shows, which will begin after the knock-out rounds.

“What I’m really excited 
for are the live shows – we have three weeks of live shows, 
which will wrap everything up,” she said.

“It’s odd to me (that) that will be that because it’s such a big part of my life as late. “But The Voice UK and the BBC nurtured me into the role, because every meeting I had with them, I said, ‘I’m ’fessing up, I’m nervous. I haven’t done this before, I don’t know if I can do it and how people will react to me doing it’.”

Minogue may be the bookies’ favourite to be the winning coach, but she’s remaining diplomatic. “I’ve got strong contenders but I think every team has.

“We all end up with someone in the final live show, so we’re all in with a chance until the very end.

“We’ve got a good range of acts and for those who don’t make it through, they have such a great experience.

“I’ve seen some of them since, and I said, ‘Sorry you didn’t make it through’, but they said, ‘We’ve loved the experience and the exposure’.”
