Man accused of harassing TV star

A MAN has been charged after allegedly harassing Strictly Come Dancing star Pamela Stephenson during a flight from London to Aberdeen.

The 39-year-old was arrested at Aberdeen Airport after Stephenson, who is married to comedian Billy Connolly, complained she had been harassed by a fellow passenger.

The alleged incident happened on a British Airways flight from Heathrow to Aberdeen on Wednesday evening.

Grampian Police said the man was charged and later released. He will appear in court in October.

Dr Stephenson, 61, a clinical psychologist, was understood to be returning to her home at Candacraig, Strathdon, ahead of the annual Lonach Gathering this weekend.

The former comedienne and her husband regularly attend the popular Highland Games.
