Police plea for help to trace missing teenagers on boy’s 16th birthday

Police are appealing for information to help trace a missing teenage girl and her boyfriend, who turns 16 today.

Officers looking into the disappearance of 15-year-old Charlotte Ford believe she is with Luke Jarvis, who has also been reported missing. They have not been seen for more than a week.

Charlotte, from Oak Park Road, Wordsley, West Midlands, was last seen when she left home to meet a friend on Sunday, June 26.

She was reported missing by her parents after failing to meet up with the friend or return home.

Luke, from Bilston, West Midlands, has not been seen since June 27 when he left a relative’s address in Barnett Close, Bilston.

The teenager, who is 16 today, was reported missing on July 1.

West Midlands Police said subsequent inquiries had confirmed the pair were seen together at Dudley bus station on Sunday June 26 at about 5pm.

A police spokesman said: “We are very concerned for both Charlotte and Luke’s safety.

“Despite significant searches by both police and family and friends we are yet to locate either of them, or receive any contact to confirm they are safe and well.”

The spokesman said Luke was known to have contacts around the Tipton and Bilston areas and urged people to be vigilant.

“We urge people to be aware of the couple and to report any sightings to police,” he said. “It could be that they are sleeping rough and so we urge people to check sheds, garages and any other outbuildings where someone could stay.

“We now know that Luke and Charlotte were definitely together during the time that Charlotte has been considered a missing person and so draw the conclusion that they are mostly likely still in each other’s company.”

Anyone who knows of their whereabouts is asked to contact police on 0345 113 5000.
