Police worker denies mother’s manslaughter

West Yorkshire Police support worker Angela Pearson leaves Manchester Crown Court, where she pleaded not guilty to the manslaughter of her 82-year-old mother, Eileen.

The 52-year-old is accused of having failed to provide adequate food, nourishment and care to her and is said to have not summoned timely medical assistance to address her needs.

Pearson, of Ghyll Royd, Guiseley, near Leeds, will now be tried at Preston Crown Court on June 26.
