Putin repeats denial on poll meddling in US
A man accused of flying a paraglider in a protest against Donald Trump while the president was staying at his Scottish resort has been released pending inquiries.
A banner reading “Trump Well Below Par” was revealed shortly after the president arrived in Ayrshire on Friday. Police said the incident was being treated as a breach of the air exclusion zone put in place for Mr Trump’s stay.
A 55-year-old man was expected to appear in court at Court yesterday, but a Crown Office spokesman said he had been “liberated from custody pending further inquiries”.
Mr Trump was staying at Turnberry during a private leg of his visit to the UK.
