World in Motion is voted top football song

NEW ORDER’S Italia 90 England anthem World In Motion has 
been voted the nation’s top football song in a poll of karaoke singers.

The song, complete with the rap originally voiced by winger John Barnes, topped the chart and was almost twice as popular as its nearest rival, Three Lions by David Baddiel, Frank Skinner and the Lightning Seeds. #

The results, based on more than 11,500 song choices on karaoke website luckyvoice.com since 2010, showed the New 
Order track got 41 per cent of votes.

Three Lions, which was released in support of the England team at the 1996 European Championships, picked up 25 per cent of the votes ahead of two tracks - Jerusalem with 18 per cent of the votes and Vindaloo with 13 per cent - by Fat Les, a band featuring Blur bassist Alex James, actor Keith Allen and artist Damien Hirst.

The final song in the poll was completed by Shout For England -– a collaboration between rapper Dizzee Rascal and actor James Corden which was released to support the national team for the 2010 South Africa World Cup.
