Unwanted legacy of holiday flings

Nearly one in 20 British holidaymakers will have returned home with a sexually transmitted disease contracted while on holiday this summer, a survey shows.

As many as 23 per cent of people admitted to having had sex with a stranger on holiday, the poll for price comparison website Travelspec.com found.

Of these, 3 per cent thought they had slept with someone but could not really remember because they were too drunk.
