Victim of beating appeals to public

A primary school teacher is appealing to the public to help police to catch a gang who beat him unconscious outside a train station.

Andy Wicks, 45, was knocked to the ground and kicked repeatedly in the head when three young men set on him in Dartford, Kent.

The father-of-two said he feared the thugs could go on to kill someone unless they are caught over the senseless attack.

Speaking at his home in Plumstead, south east London, Mr Wicks said the trio seemed to pick on him for "sport".

He said: "They will clearly do it again. I think someone could be very seriously hurt, even killed, because at least one of them is a psycho who seemed to really enjoy it."

The attack took place as Mr Wicks walked to Dartford station to catch a train home with a woman friend shortly after midnight on Saturday July 24.

He said the gang threw a plastic bottle at him and verbally abused him before one of them punched him to the ground from behind. He was then kicked him repeatedly, leaving him cut under his right eye and bruised.
