“Barbara was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother who was taken from us prematurely, “ they said.

“Words cannot express how much she will be missed.

“Mum was a talented musician and teacher, and recently retired from running the Yamaha music school in Doncaster, where she also had many students. We urge anyone with information to come forward to South Yorkshire Police.”

Mrs Twigg was a passenger travelling in a red Toyota Aygo when it was involved in a collision with a black Ford Focus and a van close to the entrance with Maltby colliery on Thursday, November 26.

Witnesses should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
