Video: And now, the BBC news read by... no-one

Watch BBC’s Martine Croxall miss the start of her news broadcast. But, like a true professional, she can be heard saying “If I sidle in you can pretend like you haven’t noticed”.

.

Ms Croxall was not at her desk for the start of her news bulletin. The camera zoomed in to the desk, but in the spot where the presenter sits was an empty chair. Like a true professional, Croxall can be heard saying “If I sidle in you can pretend like you haven’t noticed”, before beginning her bulletin in front of the correct camera.
