“All About Me” is described as “an immersive educational experience that uses play, role playing and interactive displays to help children learn about their bodies”.

It was developed with a £1.45m grant from the Wellcome Trust charitable foundation.

The gallery’s content has been guided by a team of expert advisors from academia, the medical profession, education and local government. But today that counted for little as its intended audience of young children were let loose on it for the first time.
